Many believe Manning to be the most athletic player on the Bears roster.Maybe even faster than teamates Johnny Knox & Devin Hester!But even with that Manning has never been able to put it all together on defence to become the star ball hawk saftey that the bears thought he could be.

Originally drafted in 2006 as a safety he was moved to corner,back to saftey,nickelback,corner,and now he;s a kick returner/starting strong saftey.
Currently in a contract dispute with the bears his current contract and tender are up as he looks to find a new team this offseason via FA.He' solid on defence but great on special teams as a KR.

There was a play where Daniel Manning upended a running back with one hand. The guy tried trucking him and he just stuck his hand out, stopped him so cold he flipped up horizontal like a cartoon, then just got pushed to the ground like a ragdoll. That's the play that made me notice Danieal Manning. I'm really sad he isn't a Bear anymore, because if we still had him, we wouldn't have Merriweather.

Guess what....Danieal manning is my first cousin. i've been watching him play football since corsicana highschool, this kid eats sleeps and breathes football and he would play for free if he had to.
