  • The First Violin love herself.... Give the musik to the listeners

  • @judetheobscure2 Hi, I can't find the posting anymore. Anthony Pay also played it very beautifully at a concert in Holland some 15 years ago. Did you check out my website already?? A bit strange indeed that all the attention goes to the exalted posture of the violinist!

  • the glorious theme is in the clarinet. why are we watching the first violinist?

  • @ARTMARSHALL1 Could you point me to this - my search yields no results. I love this Octet and in my youth I attended the same orchestra as Michael so I know what a beautiful sound he has :)

  • callas could do it - expressions without singing

janine can do whatever she likes, but she's no callas

  • Apparently a long standing theme that Schubert develops in some pieces is in this movement. Hyperion said it was the same theme found in his Im Frühling (lieder). I am not really certain if I am hearing this theme. If there are any Schubert fanatics out there, please help clarify it for me :)

  • Listen to Michael Collins (clarinet) in this piece to enjoy "open" clarinet playing means ! Bartje posted the live version from Wigmore Hall with Isabelle van Keulen; It has all the movements of this beautiful chamber music posted.

  • i would love to hear the first movement!!!

Somebody knows where to find it??

    Its a beautifull recording

  • This is marvellous, but why on earth isn't the first movement available?

  • First Movement Please!!
