If only learning to read was this much fun when I was young. These same songs in the 1960's and 1970's helped the French and Germans learn English. Yellow Submarine by the Beatles was one of many of the songs that helped internationalise English. Now its helping kids and adults alike learn to read. The Beatles have a lot of songs that appropriate just for this situation. Teachers also can have just as much fun as the kids.
