ok who started the religious talk about whose religion is better.... believe in your religion not go around saying to people this religion is fake or our religion is better..... @lgmmrm oh, and they all miraculously lived longer than most other people and wrote their gospel NEARLY A CENTURY AFTER JESUS' DEATH? Matthew was not the disciple matthew and Mark almost definitely wasn't a follower. Even Mark, the earliest of the Gospels, still wrote 30 YEARS after Jesus, with the others following much later

@InhabitantOfOddworld Luke..... was the only one who WASN'T THERE. John was an Apostle, the one Jesus Loved, Mark was one of jesus's followers(not apostle), Matthew was also a disciple like mark and one of hte tax collectors... so yeah...

@DampCraft That is crap. The Gospels of Matthew, Luke and John were based on the original Gospel of Mark. The Bible is made of many books by many people, but only the new testament speaks of Jesus, and even they are full of inconsistencies between each other. I mean, Marks Gospel wasn't even finished properly, it ended mid-sentance. Thus, everything after the empty tomb was added years later, and is probably far from the truth.

@InhabitantOfOddWorld You're missing a major difference: The Bible is written by dozens of people spread across both time and space yet they speak the same things without even knowing of the past ones. Meanwhile, Harry Potter and whatever else have only one writer. Even series like Forgotten Realms and Doctor Who don't count when every writer knew of the past ones and the shows.

@MrKirbyXIII i don't want to kick off another huge debate, but i just want to point out that the gospels themselves are no real proof of jesus, just because they were written down. in a few hundred years time, people could be saying that about lightning-scarred boy wizards, or cloaked knights with coloured swords and telekinetic abilities, or belgian detectives with quiffs and white dogs. realistically speaking, besides the bible and a few paintings, there is no solid proof. but you can believe
