  • missing you John!

  • @solofiddle This is the first time I see him playing fiddle, but I'm also sure he's NOT faking it!! The fiddle in the original studio-record is played much faster than John does over here; still much more original for him to play it himself, and it sounds okay, not like a master piece, but for someone who also sings, writes songs, plays guitar at a very high level, this is a quite nice piece of 'a little bit extra'

  • i'll bet he's still playing his songs and fiddle up in heaven now

  • He has so much talent and leaves us far too young.

I wish I could go to his live concert though it will never happen now.

Even though I never meet him at all, I miss him and his music,

Somehow you wonder why some people that should live long do not and why people that should not live at all do.

  • Yes, John Denver is really playing fiddle, not faking it. The other fiddler is often playing chords or backup on his fiddle when Denver plays the lead melody. And I presume that other fiddler is John Martin Sommers, who wrote the tune. Good tune! I didn't know Denver played fiddle and this is fun to see!

  • @swillyjayable

    Yes he fakes/playbacks

    show must go on!

    you,ve seen it right.

  • love the song.. but is he faking playing the fiddle?

  • john denver is just amazing!

  • really sucks that he died. What a great person/musician that we lost. RIP JD.

  • knew someone who worked at Wolf trap here in Va. and they said John would gather ALL of the folks who worked there arould and have a mini concert for them, he would even help them take out the trash if he had time..... he said John was the most pleasent artist to work with.
