I don't know why I am watching this since I live and hunt CA and the season close's before the rut.
Nice video by the way.

what kind of call would you use late October/early November for bowhunting?

I rattle almost exactly how the video shows, although I prefer to use two shed antlers off of 8 points. I think it's always best to have two hunters when you're rattling, one for the bow and the other to actually rattle and work the grunt tube. I've always had the problem that big bucks come running when they hear a fight and they often don't leave you much time to get the bow ready and prepare a shot.
I also hunt ohio whats the best call to use early season say september early october what do you suggest

@ohiohunter85 just use a grunt call but dont use it alot, if your looking for a good grunt call look at D3 Game Calls website and get the Flip Call its a good call for a good price. For tips on the Grunt Call check out our Calls Video.

hey i was wondering how long you should do each session of rattling and how long you should wait to do rattling again?

for the session about a min or two... and 20 to 30 mins before you do another one.

Hey, I was just wondering if you could make a segment totally devoted to "brand new" bow hunters. Just giving tips, whether they be big helpful tips or little nitpicking tips. Ya know, like basic shot placement and how to range a deer from a treestand, calls, etc. I am new to bow hunting and found your videos very helpful. They've educated me greatly. Thank you for all the help!
