From a childhood favorite, Princess Mononoke.
I made the instrumental and did the vocals in GarageBand.
Kind of an upbeat version of the original.

一つ、二つは赤子も踏むが
三つ、四つは鬼も泣く泣く
タタラ女は黄金の情け
解けて流れりゃ刃に変わる

hitotsu, futatsu wa akago mo fumuga
mittsu, yottsu wa oni mo naku, naku
tatara-onna wa kogane no nasake
tokete nagarerya yaiba ni kawaru

one, two, even babies can push (the bellows)
three, four, even an ogre would cry
the golden love of a Tatara woman
melts and flows, and changes into a blade

  • I love the flexibility of your voice. I'm not entirely sure that this particular song fits your voice. Just like "Rikulshmaru" said, "...its a work song about the hardships..." the singer/sings of this song needs to have a sort of heaviness or pain to their voice to compensate the lyrics. Now as for your voice; the faster tempo and different selection of instruments worked wonderfully with the quality of your voice; which is very flexible/ light, and energetic. I look forward to hearing more.^_^

  • @Sesshomaru7945 This is a GREAT critique, thank you so much!

  • well done!

  • @chiichai0cho Your very welcome! ^_^

  • @RikuIshmaru Thank you so much. :) I lived there, for a while, in the countryside.

  • @chiichai0cho you have the voice of the Valkyrie... never lose touch with your talent ^.^... judging by the fluency, either you are Nihonjin or have lived there for quite some time... am I right?

  • @RikuIshmaru It's mine. :)

  • @chiichai0cho so this voice... was it yours?

  • @RikuIshmaru Excellent feedback, thank you!

  • great voice, but it just doesn't carry the same weight as in the OST... this is happy, but it is a work song about the hardships... other than that I loved it
