S.I.S.T.A.S - Is the brain child of education advocate Carmen M Colon, which provides the type of support minorities and women going into business in the non-profit arena craves for.
This group of high-powered women have reputations for putting the marvel in MARVELOUS!
We belong or in many cases run our own non-profit organizations, board of directors and through our individual struggles and determination to see our good works survive, we found each other.
Sisters in struggle - we forged what others might consider an unlikely alliance in this tight competitive search for funding and support and instead help each other vie for grants.
EVEN if we find ourselves competing.
We assist and volunteer at each other's events and fund raisers and insure that all of our causes get air time with the media.
We use our professional expertise and experiences to bring ourselves to the world and the world to us.
