Do the statistics identify with your reality?

Do you ever hear any positive statistics on Black folks? Why is this? Do the stats you do hear concerning the Black community identify with your reality?

Statistics in general don't talk about "good things". They discuss shortcomings and problems. So rather than point the finger in a futile attempt to not look at yourself, try and affect change in your community. Because it has to be taking place internally as well as externally for it to work. The statistics are not skewed or manipulated, there are reasons they are so bleak, such as the poverty factor, but thats only half the story.

I also think that blacks feed into the negative stats hence the videos on youtube. Stats and research is blown up, twisted, and sometimes the media leaves out certain details like how the study was conducted.

There are negative statistics about white people if you bother to look for them. There are more white pedophiles then blacks. Fraud is committed more by white people then black people. Property crime is largely committed by white people. I'd say those statistics are probably correct. You can't let emotions get in the way of the truth.

Does stats identify with my reality ? HELL NO..As far as crime ! The U.S. justice department stats are misleading . Their numbers are for repeat offenders e.i. 1 black man commits 10 crimes, all 10 are counted, It's not on an individual basis. Unfortunately i've been in the system ! most black inmates are there for simple possession . One black man had a needle, he was diabetic and charged with drug paraphernalia . Keep calling out the truth sista..ONE
