One of my favorite routines from Athens. Incredible moves and the opening pass was superb!

I love this routine. One of the best choreographed routines at Athens. If it were up to me I would have had Pavlova in Gold, Ponor Silver, and Bhardwaj Bronze. But Mohini was in the wrong code era for her, and Pavlova was ROBBED at that Olympics all over the place.

her choreography was amazing, she has such a great style. But.....her first two passes weren't landed properly, both times she had to take either a step back or forward to regain her balance, hence the deductions. That's the reason why athletes are not allowed to step after their passes anymore, putting your arms up and leaning back doesn't complete it or look artistic, it just disguises a sloppy landing. I'm glad they finally changed the rules.

@tide32athlete Agreed. Nothing exciting. I hated her full-in double "tuck" too. Gymnasts like Mohini Bhardwaj, Cheng Fei, and Daiane Dos Santos actually had difficult tumbling elements and didn't have to rely on acrobatic connections for the SV.

@audie83 Mohini was a much better tumbler than Ponor, IMO. I hated this code!

WOW, she's got CHOREOGRAPHY!!!!! :-O Why can't more gymnasts be like her? That was really refreshing. It's been a while since I've seen this routine. Beautiful.
