  • @starhespera I love how he learned guitar just to join the band. Soon as he knew 3 chords he jumped right into the gigs. He literally learned as he went, smoke in his mouth the whole way.......Paul has always been my favorite Hip member. He's easily the most bad ass member.....no contest.

  • I always say my all-time fave rock and roll band list goes like this:

    1) Foghat

    2) The Guess Who

    3) The Tragically Hip

But the Tragically Hip may very well be the best band in history. I wish I could hear them do this song live. I don't remember them doing this song in Seattle in 1999 at the Moore Theater or 2002 at Pier 62/63. Amazing, amazing band. Gordon's mannerisms and the band's rocking sound combine to provide unending talent. For me....me! All mine! Whoo-hoo-haa-haaaa!!

  • haha the intro is fucking amazing.

  • Paul "Skills" Langlois - playing guitar and singing back-up vocals, all with a cigarette in his mouth.

  • as i listened to this guitar line it made me think of a song they released many years later ,i find that the opening few chords were eventually transfered into the locked in the trunk of a car rythym-but i don't care cuz i love both songs and i love the hip my most favorite band of all time

  • What kind of a Mom did Gordy have?

  • Awesome song. I don't recall hearing this one in either of the two Seattle shows I saw the Hip at.

  • classic!

  • Thank you for posting this!

Love the hair dos! Especially Sinclair.

  • I'm not a huge Hip fan, but this is a good tune! Man, I miss the Misty Moon...lots of memories from that place. And the Crazy Horse in Dartmouth...two great rock bars back in the day.
