@toastedgstring123 I only wear headgear during matches, and when going live during practice. It is for safety it is not mandatory but prevents cauliflower ear. Everyone I have wrestled though is forced to wear it, but at the summer tournaments the kids didn't.

@JUSTINTRIPjl No one I've ever wrestled in freestyle, wears headgear. And in practice when Wrestling Season starts(Collegiate) we don't wear headgear to practice.

@toastedgstring123 I wrestle freestyle and it is recommended. Why get cauliflower ear? I know I do not wrestle greco roman, I wear head gear I hope you get cauliflower ear >:)
