@muckypops Yeah they're dimmable but the dimmer curve on the LED bars is not very smooth i.e. below about 20% you get nothing and then only a few more increments up to full.

Great video. Was thinking about buying some diffusion and putting it on my LED strips. Will certainly try it now! Cheers.

brightness is a problem? they are DMX dimmable.

Have you ever thought of having elocution lessons?
Cheers.

Thanks for the informative analysis!
Has anyone tried the Roscolux 116 117 or 118?

Now that I started getting these I think I'm going to either do this or I've also seen someone use window tint to kill the wash but you can look at them for like a chase light.

hey, i got 2 colorstrips and they are really awesome! as you said they are really bright..the ends of my colorstrips the plastic part covering the lights are curved. Did you kind of pry it with a small precision screwdriver and slide it in. I just didnt want to take the risk of breaking the plastic. Any instructions would be greatly appreciated. Also have you used it on a DMX controller yet and is it difficult to program? Thanks ..monctontechno
i bought the rocoe 111 gel and used the lights at a wedding it seemed to me to dull the lights down too much , have you tried yours at a show , im going to try a lighter gel will let you know , you are right these lights got to much punch for the crowd , thanks

That's precisely why I used the 111 to dull the brightness. I found it didn't dull it as much as I thought it would. I'm sure there's better options for you if you're not looking to dull it as much as the #111.
It also depends on the size of the venue, smaller venues you may want it more dull.
