  • Actually friedman took this idea from leonard reed see the essay I Pencil

  • @lengthyounarther I don't know that. Thank you for the piece of information. (I want to avoid misunderstandings: I say this without irony.)

  • @NetzKaiser See I dont only make homo erotic comments, I´m actually a very well read libertarian. I think think the work your looking for is sarcasm, not irony. anyway, I´m messaging you a link the essay by Leonard Read. It was published in 1958. Friedmans video about is has been a hit on youtube, I just wish he had given credit where credit was due. Read is one of the most underappreciated libertarian thinkers.

  • @lengthyounarther Okay, in Germany you would say "Ironie" in this context, but maybe it is diferent to America. And I see that, I am really sorry for the misunderstanding. But it looked strange to me.

  • @NetzKaiser I just dont see how the comment you made could be considered ironic. However thanking somebody in an insincere way would be sarcastic. Also you should have used didn´t rather than don´t. Didn´t denotes past tense aka You 'did not' know that. Don´t is present tense ´do not'. Saying you don´t know that would mean you currently do not know it, which is not possible since you were aknowleging me informing you.

  • @lengthyounarther I used the same line in past, when I felt lectured.

I should pay more attention to the grammar. Many people take it easy on the web and so it is okay, but English isn't my native language and I would reinforce my mistakes.
