I thought Katherine was fine, with one huge flaw: Paul. Her engagement to him always made me think she wasn't the brightest bulb, choosing Paul over Robert.

I think she was very bright, just not a risk taker early on. And she felt obligated to Paul. But Robert helped her get all of that out of her system :)

No, I don't think she was stupid- she just made bizarre decisions in that department. Who in their right mind would choose P over R? Her continual bad decisions were just frustrating. Even so R&K were fun while they were together.
