  • do you know the name of that one where she works a lot and is in love with a star and the owner of the club kidnaps her because the man managing the club doesn't have enough money to pay the rent?

  • @pillowcase97 You're thinking of "The Romance Of Betty Boop" which was a 1985 TV special. I will post it soon. Enjoy.

  • @ParkerTaibi Thank you so, so much for posting this!!! I recorded it on video when I was in 4th grade (I'll be 27 years old next month) and the picture quality was so bad we had to throw out the tape. Thanks again for this, love to you!!! <3

  • @Dreamflower6 Glad to be of service. Thanks for the kind words.

  • @ReinaHyundai blame Lionsgate for her decade long absence, They've been sitting on the right on her library for decades

  • As you think about it betty shows abit to much clevage LOL :P

  • "Wished she was on easy street...." omg

  • I MISS BETTY BOOP. MY MOM USE TO GIVE ME A LOT OF HER COLLECTIONS IN MY BABY-CHILDHOOD DAYS, AND IT STILL LOOK NEW NOW I ALWAYS TOOK CARE OF IT, NOW WITH JESSICA RABBIT'S COLLECTION TOO, I ADMIT THAT I'M 19 BUT I STILL LOVE COLLECTING THEM BOTH.

  • Opps. Typo "BETTY BOOP" not Betty B-O-P! LOL

  • Coolness! I'm dressing up like Betty Bop for my next New Years Smash... I love the vintage animation(s). THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH FOR SHARING! :-D

  • @ParkerTaibi That one was bad, too. With all its awkwardness, HOLLYWOOD MYSTERY was actually animated better than ROMANCE. Neither was handled by people who knew the character or the nuances of the original animation.

  • @azuz6778 Part of the problem was the use of color, which was too random, lacking in applying actual color schemes. The colors are mostly too garish and used for their own sake without regard to harmony. This is also an issue with the backgrounds, which are painted too "flat", although POOR CINDERELLA, was done this way, and still better. The original black and white cartoons used a sepia "wash" technique that gave them a softer look that produced a separation from the characters.

  • @catielyn1289 The thing that made Mae Questel stand out was that she went beyond the literal Helen Kane imitation in "creating" the voice personality for BETTY BOOP.
