Number one singer, but media depicted him as bad

He was abused as a child
Then accused of abusing a child
And the news spread wild
Labelled as a paedophile
Though he didnt do anything bad
Courts acquitted him but rumours die hard
He didn't like the way he looked,
But the measures he took were drastic
He went from looking handsome to plastic
And though the world mocked his attempt for a better face
He never stopped tryna make the world a better place

Never was racist, said on black or white
Not gonna spend my life being a colour
So why do people still speculate on whether hes black or white
I say hes worldwide
Touched the whole world with his music
Appealed to all nations and to all generations
Laid the foundations for hip-hop and R&B
Inspired so many artists we owe him massively

Dressed in all white, he was so heavenly
He will be missed forever, just legendary
