@AndreLeaoGuedes2 That's a myth.Miami,Philly,the Wembley's,etc. were all later in the tour.Most of the stories about MKIV are bull.People are so stupid,they parrot instead of just listening.Heck,if one judged Ritchie by the utter contemptable garbage he played on the reunion tours in the 80's,he'd never have been rated.Or even worse,those who call him great when he plays said dreck.And I've been a RB fan since 68,so I've no axe to grind,it's just the truth.

The first shows of MK IV are better. The drug addiction destroy they last performances. Covedale lost his voice on King Biscut records, but Bolin was great is this show. The bootlegs of MK IV shows a different band, destroyed by the drug addiction. MK IV are great and Tommy Bolin death was a big loss.

I'm sorry, this song " Drifter" is a bit weak..Not really any groove , and a very cliche guitar riff. It does'nt hold interest like " Burn " or " Fireball " or " Might Just Take Your Life" ..The first solo is not very well thought out.. Sorry guys..

Come Taste the Band is wicked. Not nearly appreciated enough. Real Purple fans , I think, enjoy it. Bolin was a very suitable replacement for Blackmore.

@danstrikeeagle If you listen to The California Rehearsals 1975 (check out "Deep Purple - Drifter Rehearsal") you can hear the instant chemistry, they were playing jams together within minutes of meeting! Have you heard DP playing his song "Wild Dogs"? To say he was not made for heavy rock is totally wrong! To say DP MK IV should never have played MK II material would be closer to the truth... and yes, Tommy's heroin addiction increased in Deep Purple. It destroyed the band and took his life.
