His GGG-grandfather was IRISH and today 23/May/2011 he has visited the little town where his ancestors came from in Ireland and he got a welcome he wont forget. He also enjoyed a Pint Of Guiness in the local pub. ''Slainte''

I would actually agree with you there, the more diverse you are, the more you have to work with, which leads to a better natural selection of a genetic lottery. I don't subscribe to this race myth bull, I do accept the truth though that there is really only truly four races in the world. And they are distinct genotypes with enough distinction to be the most diverse selection also.

It's a shame so many Americans would rather see themself as one thing rather than just accept being American.

True, but being a mutt is better, it means you have more genetic diversity..and hence a much more interesting family tree

But further research into his family tree has revealed that unlike John F Kennedy and Ronald Reagan, Mr Obama's ancestors came from the other side of the religious divide.

As the descendant of an Irish Protestant family, Mr Obama should not rely on the sort of support automatically enjoyed by Mr Kennedy, whose presidency marked the political arrival of Irish American Catholics

@EmeraldIsleStar It was a "Great, iconic moment" because he's black. And now he's the first black president, that's all well and good. The problem is, that's the only reason he got elected. The majority of people who voted for Obama were completely ignorant of his ideology and what he was actually promoting, which was and is big government. He's the most big government president we've ever had, and if you haven't figured it out yet, government is not the answer. Ron Paul is the answer#beinformed
