A 10-minute overview of California State University-Chico Anthropology Department's "Museum Studies Program", which comes complete with a working museum. The film, shot on HDV and edited to an original music score, features footage of students preparing and installing exhibit displays for Dr. Georgia Fox's "Exhibit Research, Design and Installation class".
Interviews with the Valene L. Smith Museum of Anthropology Museum Curator, Adrienne Scott, and Co-Director, Georgia Fox, bring authenticity and insight into the benefits of the program. Video coverage includes Co-Director, Dr. Stacy Schaefer's 2010 Exhibition at the museum, as well as the installation of the 2011 Exhibition and provides an experiential texture of images, sound-effects, and cinema-vérité excitement.
Filming locations include the California State University-Chico campus and the Valene L. Smith Anthropology Museum. Featured is Opening Night, December 5, 2010.
