Lovin' Spoonful - Summer In The City

These were the days when everyone's transistor radios were blaring in the summer time as they washed their cars, sat around the pool or were gathered together with friends. This song was played so much that summer, and on everywhere there was a juke box, that everytime I hear it it takes me back to that summer. These hits defined a summer vacation

I was born in early '64 and grew up with parents that listened to country (dad) and big band (mom).

I wish I could have been there, too. A great time with great music and some of the greatest cars Detroit ever produced.

All that really screwed that era up was 'Nam - but 'Nam was the reason for much of that era's "flavor".

By the way, I did get to see Lovin' Spoonful play live at the free Vetrock '99 concert at Naval Air Station - Joint Reserve Base Willow Grove, just north of Philadelphia on Saturday, May 15, 1999.

Lovin Spoonful were awesome at Woodstock in 1969...long live the ´60s!!!!

I graduated from high school in '68. We had great music in my teenage years.
