  • @Chupria they probably dip the filter in a vat of it. its basically a paint with texture in it.

  • @ozscorpio7 thats a Fram thing for you. fram is craptacular.

  • Fram say's they use paper end caps because paper end caps with glue adhere to the paper filter elements better and therefore they told me that's why they don't use metal end caps. Only on there Xtended Guard filter do they use metal end caps. I say because they are cheap is why they do that, LOL!

  • @Chupria Most likely painted on. Either dipped into a vat of textured paint or sprayed on, something of that nature.
