"Suzy Snowflake" is a popular Christmas song written by Sid Tepper and Roy C. Bennett, made famous by Rosemary Clooney in 1951 and released as a 78 RPM record by Columbia Records, MJV-123.

On December 28, 1953, Chicago area kids were introduced to the whimsical story of Suzy Snowflake "tap, tap, tappin'" on every windowpane, seen on "Garfield Goose and Friends" then on WBBM-TV. Like "Hardrock, Coco and Joe," Suzy too was brought to life by the stop-motion animators of Centaur productions. Norma Zimmer was Suzy's voice and the song was sung by The Norman Luboff Choir, a premier studio group who recorded with well-known artists auch as Frank Sinatra and Harry Belafonte.

It is annually shown during the Christmas season on WGN-TV in Chicago, along with another production by Centaur, "Hardrock, Coco and Joe" and an early UPA version of "Frosty the Snowman."

WJAC-TV in Johnstown, PA also runs these three cartoon shorts during the Christmas season.

  • Oh how lovely ! SM animation of a dreamy snowflake , sailing among the other snowflakes to "come to town". Aww how cute is that! The lyrics are plain but oh so invinting... and what a beautiful high voice this lady (N.Zimmer) has.

I've never heard of this x-mas song before. Thank you for the upload, dear Rey.

You deserve much more than just bright shining stars for this... I wish I could give you countless sharply sparkling snowflakes with radiance like diamond faceted ice crystals....
