  • Brilliant song and let´s us not forget those who suffered this month 150 years ago

  • seen them at a gig 1 night in a town called nenagh, fu**all at the gig about 50 people but f**k they blew us away what a show and that at least 20 years ago,,, thanks lads.

  • i worked in glenveagh and my ancestors were some of the people who were evicted. this song is a master piece if you know the history of the area. A visit to Glenveagh castle is a must you will appriciate the song much more if you no the real history. John george Adair was a laois man from scottish decent and he also owned over 1000000 acres of land in Texas and that range is still there to this day.

  • I find it hard this listen to this without getting a lump in my throat because as a musician of Ukrainian and Irish decent, I see how these two countries shared a similar sad history, with many parrallels. It is often in sadness that beauty is born, and this beautiful song proves it.

  • A beautiful song and a sad and revolting story.

  • A beautiful song and and a sad and revolting story.

  • Ok Ill amend my last comment he was of Scottish decent

  • John was Irish, not Scottish as the song depicts
