A short film on poverty, dignity, and the unconquerable nature of the human soul.

I consider this to be my first formal short film. Questions, comments, and suggestions are highly appreciated.

  • Your choices of shots and coverage are great. Your music and sound editing are kind of horrible. It's a great message, but your execution is kind of sloppy. Don't get offended by my comments, I really think you have talent. It just needs a little refinement.

  • Just came back from an expensive steak dinner but this is way better than mine. The poor father doing all he can with what little he has. 10x better than my dinner because of his patience and caring. Thanks for the lesson.

  • Very powerful, it sure touched the hearts and minds of all of us who've seen it. It may not be technically perfect, as the experts would point out, but perhaps that added to the charm of this piece. As an ordinary viewer, at the end, it's all about how the film has touched you and for the filmmaker, if his message reached the viewers. Thank you for sharing this!

  • Thank you! You have shown us what it means to be human.

  • Awesome! True,...poverty should not be a hindrance. Keep up the good job!

  • Intenseeee! Finally viral! Good job Lance! :)

  • that.was.beautiful. pagsimula inisip ko na dramatic pero kapag pagtatapos- umiiyak ko (At the start I thought it was dramatic but by the end -I cried)- just too beautiful (Sori pala Tagalog is not my native lingo but it makes me appreciate the value of culture and family in the Philippines) lance Katigbak- gud show! can't wait to watch

  • This is a very touching video showing a father's love for his daughter and the response of the daughter to this loving offer of her father. What struck me also was the fact that the father cared to dress for the occasion to show the importance he gave to it. This is only one way by which our people show their love for their family. There are many other ways by which they do it.

  • this is TRUly 'heart-warming'~ it REALly brought tears to my eyes...

  • If not sure, reduce the number of cuts. Medyo jarring. As for the music, pareho tayo. I will probably use garageband para hindi na magbayad ng rights. Keep it up. Jut like me, pareho tayong who has to keep our focus on the story. Only Hollywood can afford to ignore stories dahil they have money to pay for special effects and other frivolities para hindi mapansin ng audience that the movie has no story. KEEP IT UP. I hope to see your name in the lights SOON.

  • Like me, I want to make a movie. Your's is better. I agree with Chris Costello. If you think about the old movies, nobody cared about the camera whether it is digital or not. That is only for the people behind the scenes. And it still is. The audience cares about the story. This is very HEART-WARMING.

  • nakaka-guilty. makabagbagdamdamin. who sez you need a lot of money to be happy and be a good parent? beautiful film, tugs at the heart. thanks for making it.
