Frontier Communications (NYSE:FTR) reported Q1 EPS of $0.05, just missing estimates of $0.06.

Revenues in the quarter fell 6% to $1.27 billion, inline with estimates.

The company reported 3.04 million residential customers and 302,000 business customers as of March 31st. The company reported Q1 FCF $253.2 million, and adjusted operating cash flow of $619.8 million.

Maggie Wilderotter, Chairman & CEO of Frontier Communications commented on the earnings, "Frontier's successful systems conversion of the remaining nine states in March has enabled us to turn the page from acquisition integration to a focus on revenue growth, broadband penetration, and operational excellence. Our solid first quarter results show progress on revenue stability, expense reductions and margin expansion. We are well on our way to achieving our 2012 guidance."

Frontier Communications is lower this morning, down almost 3% to $3.79.
