Alfieri's gender wasn't important in this play, just his role. So it's not important whether he's played by a man or a woman.

I'm using this to help with my Enlish lit a level study of A View From The Bridge.... to be honest, I don't care that Alfieri is played by a female, she does an excellent job of portraying the character and I thoroughly enjoyed watching this introduction to A View From The Bridge.

The storyline is brilliant aswell...

alfieri has an important role he's not only the narrator or the family lawyer he's also the bridge between tribal and american law hence the title of the play
