  • Sweet vid of the AM xmitter!!

  • @KD0JHT Thanks!

  • Not bad at all! I love the way your camera buzzes and the cat shows up! Perhaps the cat has an AM tuner or is, ah, "radioactive"! What it does when unplugged sorta makes sense...the tube continues to emit electrons since the heater stays warm for a while.

Both of my AM transmitters are in the solid state realm. I have a Talking House unit (quartz synthesized) and an AM stereo (!!) capable unit (kit built) from fellow Youtuber fortyfiveplayer, who did "one last production run".

  • @uxwbill Oh yes I saw your video about the talking house transmitter, that thing is pretty cool! Thanks for your comment!

  • made in usa think you

  • @joshhsega every component of it was made in the USA except the transformer I believe...

  • ahhh good kit but I though this was the 6888 ARF kit.. still excellent.

  • Really interesting :D And fun music! :D And your cat in the way as usual :D Hm, your camera got some kind of weird thing that makes youtube glitch while processing :D

  • Nice build of the AES transmitter. I built a version of this myself. Check it out on my channel. Out of curiosity, how long of an antenna are you using?

If you like listening to old time music on that radio, you should head to archive.org and search for "big band remotes". They have a couple collections with a ton of that stuff in them.

    Nice job!

  • Need to find one of those kits, would be nice to have.

  • That is soo kewl! I always wanted one of those AM transmitters so I can make my vintage AM radios useful. I may get that kit too.

  • nice little kit, you did a Great job with the layout & label :)
