I hope the family and friends of the late Terry McMillan find this....a clip of Terry putting his own genius to the classic Christmas song,It Came Upon a Midnight Clear.....I was writing this Christmas show in Nashville and thought terry would be the completion of a dream I had for this song...Never heard it done with a harmonica and knew Terry would know just how...and he did....This performance aired one time and never again until now...

  • This brings tears to my eyes in a good way. He was my friend for over 29 years and i never seen this. I met Terry at a swimming pool in 1978. He invited me and my brother to his house that night. From that time on we were like brothers. That's the kind of man he was. The last time I spoke to him on the phone he said I love you brother. I attended his funeral and I've never stopped thinking of him since. I will always think of him from time to time. You can't forget someone like Terry, ...David

  • Terry and I were raised in a little place (Trinity, NC)

We were in the band together

I saw Terry at his beginning (rough at times)

He was a different person of the times, but, turned out to be a fine man

We are very proud of who he was and his talent

Our Band Director Jack Jarrett looked down from heaven on this person for years with pride

Well, my dear friend, you are with him now

Heaven has the sweetest harmonica music ever

    Live on in our hearts

    Thank you for the memories

  • Yes, Terry's family found it. Peggy just posted it on Facebook. Thanks, Jimmy.

  • Wow! What a blessing. Thanks for sharing this with the world.

  • I spent a good amount of time with Terry, and he was a very giving and gracious guy. I helped him record some fairly basic backing tracks in my small studio, and helped him with some album covers and press photos. He was so appreciative and acted like every small thing I did for him was the best thing ever - he was a great guy.

  • Beautiful...

  • @bagfed1 Hi,I am very sorry for the loss of not only an amazing harmonica player, but your frynd.I would have loved to have known him.I am not a church goin' man but I am a catholic,I talk to God all the tyme.I can't imagine Terry's childhood, but he became a very loving and good man.I hope the memories you two shared will comfort you through hard tymes.

  • @Bigd5613 I envy you very much.I seen the video of Terry playin' This Train is Bound for Glory about 5 months ago through Harmonicas & Stuff on Facebook. I was and still amazed at his spirit & talent.I wish I could have spent some time with him.I am so sorry for the loss of your daer friend.I am not even in the same ball park of a harp player as Terry. I do though enjoy playing it. I play Lynyrd Skynyrd's Freebird to & for all people who pass on.I played it for Terry. When I herd he passed.

  • My late husband would play Amazing Grace to me on his little "Marine Band" harmonica, so sweet that it would bring tears into my eyes. Terry brought this back to me and I'm grateful. I am sad he's gone from us but happy he has gone to glory-

I know in my heart he is with Jesus.

  • My heart is hurting hearing this about Terry McMillan, I didn't know till now that he had died. When? Can you tell me more? I loved his playing years ago on TBN and now I'm sad knowing he is no longer with us. But I can see him sitting at the feet of Jesus playing It Came Upon a Midnight Clear. Rest in Peace, Terry.

    OneKewpie.

  • To me, a man can be "judged" by the friends he keeps and the things that are said about him after his death. After reading all the flattering things that have been said here on youtube about Terry McMillian it is obvious that he fulfilled his purpose of birth in that he shared his love of Jesus with others. This is the kind of person you truly love, being able to talk about anything and know that it will not be repeated. It is good to cleanse one's heart sometimes by talking. Peace of God.

  • Terry taught me to play harmonica at his kitchen table ... I could call him anytime to talk about anything, he was a true friend and I miss him.
