The EOS 7D is Canon's latest DSLR, built for those seeking the convenience and affordability of the EOS 50D, inspired by the image quality and HD video potential of the EOS 5D Mark II, and eager for the high performance and durability of the EOS-1D series.
This is a totally new class of camera built from the ground-up to capitalize on advances in Canon's AF system, EOS HD Video functionality, exposure performance, and other core technologies. Combined with the best existing features of the current EOS line, the EOS 7D goes beyond capturing amazing still images -- it's a complete media creation tool.

  • I still shoot with a 20d. 20d was a fantastic camera in its day. It ruled the 2004's and 2005's.

  • @suutari13 the apple that makes ipods and stuff.... >.>

  • @chrestian

    apple ?

  • @sct911 excellent camera...it has everything but for a full frame sensor.

  • @doyoulikechocolate Have you ever heard of Google?!

  • @doyoulikechocolate DigitalRevCom has a great comparison.

Just search: DigitalRevCom 5D vs 7D head to head

  • help! - do I go for 7d or 5dmk2? - i love the sensor on 7d and 8 fps - I will shoot wedding and portraits mainly, as well as press....PLEASE HELP ME DECIDE! - Thank you

  • @sct911 I would. This is an awesome camera.

  • @sct911 in case you haven't ordered it (or if anyone else is thinking about this as a first DSLR), i wouldn't.. Not that it's not great (i own one), but i recommend starting with a mid range ie1000d, 450d use the rest of the money to purchase a some good glass (prime lenses!). after two years and one (or even two) more lenses, order it. i got carried away and now i'm stuck with a standard kit lense from my 1000d, a cheap sigma macro and a cheap (but very good) prime lense. trust the glass counts

  • Warning. Start small. End big. :)

This is not the beginner's camera thing most of you are looking for :)

To fully maximize the capability of this monster, you need L lenses, filters and some lighting stuff.

    My 2 cents.
