Man, I was thinking about watching this one. It seems like funny show though, but the character development seems lacking. And what's up with the bundle release? 13 episodes?

As I said in the vid, I like the bundled release idea, at least. When I bought HEROES, BSG, or FIREFLY, they came as full season sets, not 3-5 episodes per individual DVD shipped 2 months apart. Lately, I feel as if I should just skip the single anime DVD vols and wait for the boxset, anyway. Or at least wait until all the DVDs in a series are out.

Hmm...it looks cool, but being kicked in the face by someone you just meet is pretty unrealistic lol. But I must wonder, do you buy all these dvds? And what do you do to the ones you dont like?

Unfortunately, I did buy this 3-DVD set. I forget why I thought I might like it. Suffice it to say, I was wrong.

When I end up with DVDs I don't like, I usually try to swap them for something I might like better on SwitchPlanet or just sell them used on Amazon.

The best thing to come out of this series was the beautiful music by Yoko Kanno and Hisaaki Hogari... I thought the series was watchable but I can see where you're coming from about the obnoxious characters.

Everyone at this anime rental place I go to praises this anime, and after watching the first DVD I never understood why.

It's no Gurren Lagann, that's for sure.
