this is a early preview of a new script for After Effects.

Rigging a Character the easy way.

main features:

- oneclick rigging
- inverse kinematik
- quick handling and animating
- heel and roll controls
- anchor point adjustments

the great thing is, that it works with every character of any proportion.

more to come soon

have fun with the preview

  • Very nice work! incredible!

I dont understand the script...i try to follow the tutorial... but it goes very fast! And its not the actual beta version...

When i build the character the layers goes every where...but not together....

And i have 37 layers in my timeline...wow! i suppose im not doing well this stuff...can you explain it better please?

Thanks anyway for this amazing script!

hey u should watch the quickguide. this should help a lot. for beginning i would suggest to use soilds to understand the script. pls create nulls for parts u dont want to use (nulls with dimension 1,1). so u have for the start every time 12 layers in ur timeline. (dont copy parts, create for every part a seperate solid or psd layer)

then u should be able to build ur first character.

    Hey! thanks for your reply!

I did an advance, i get the character builded and linked in front mode for example, and when try to move it with control master....nothing happens...

I give you an idea, why not include your aep project in the script download? it will give a better idea...

    Keep up the awesome work!

    Thanks!

  • @nacho279

hey, happy to here that it's worked. the control master is only the null which contains the controls for rotating ball, heel etc. if u want to move the character as whole use the all control, did i named it like that?

anyways there is another control which moves the complete character.

    greez

    hey again!

I sent you a private with an AE project archive, please check it when you can and tell me in whic point aim doing the mistake...please...thanks!

  • @haellmuth yeh. adobe are donkeys if they overlook this for AE's next release

  • im foward to see this script release it looks amazing, and yeah it would be nice some beta testing,

    great work

  • Hey man, super cool stuff!

I'm a 3D character animator and i've been working quite a lot with 2D plane character animation in Maya and this plugin really looks like it could make things much easier for these projects.

My fingers are crossed for a release (or maybe a beta?), for this is exactly what AE is missing (and after that they just need to fix that terreble curve editor...).
