  • I sell them all, the Sebo X series is the most dependable of all but nothing cleans like the Riccar Rad

  • @vacman11 I have always had good luck with Riccars, this is my 2nd one I have one I use commercially (a vibrance) my mom has had hers for almost 4 years now and had no major issues. My old work place swore by those for using them day in and day out. However I will say as far as serviceability in the field goes when they do break that's another story.

  • I will keep that in mind. Me and technology isn't that great friends. Didn't you meant the X4 sebo?

  • @ilrimpianto whichever one that is haha yeah especially that electronic height adjustment or x5 whatever it is

  • Last week I bought a Riccar Radiance (prototype) at Goodwill for $5.00 - once I saw it, I knew exactly what I'd found. It was really trashed, though! It had no bag, all 3 filters were completely clogged, tools missing and the brushroll was surrounded by hair and long carpet strings. It needed some serious cleaning which I did within the first 2 days I owned it. I ordered genuine bags online and I'm waiting for my local dealer to call me when my filters, crevice tool & dusting brush arrive.

  • I have the Simplicity Synergy. LOVE it, best vac i've ever owned. Only gripe, short hose. But gets stuff up on first pass and amazingly bag fills in a few weeks. Tells me I have a LOT of dirt that it's getting up.

  • @Tutto883 either vacuum will work just fine in my opinion a S7 Miele or this high end Riccar Radiance. Either of the 2 will filter great and have exceptional cleaning power, it just comes down to do you want a bulletproof upright or a german engineered canister. Either one will give you years of reliability and high performance

  • panaclean775 said, "They are very good but,The new Miele s7 might be a little better overall. The s7 has a little better airflow thru the hose for using tools and it has a little better filtration and is much quiter. Both are excellent carpet cleaners and are built top notch."

panaclean775--- The more I am around these machines the more, I completely agree with this statement.

  • By the way when I say the Miele S7 has a "better roller design" I am talking about the actual design-not debating the merits of the metal roller of the Radiance.

As for SEBO, I really second the comment about them being the most dependable. Interestingly they are also the easiest to service (by far). It kind of figures that the easiest to service is the also one that effectively never has to serviced. Miele is not terribly far behind in servicing need, but is definitely less service friendly.

  • The original poster later wishing for a Miele S7 instead= fair. The Radiance cleans carpet better than probably anything (baring a vac that destroys the rugs). The Miele S7= very close on carpet cleaning but = a good bit more suction at the hose, quieter, better roller design -but only 2 rows-, filters better, and S7= less long-term maintenance. S7= better overall system imo.

Love Riccar though, plus they= outstanding profit margin with easy to move units in shop. Still, I do lean to S7...
