Making their world premiere at the Frankfurt Auto Show, the BMW i3 and i8 may just be concepts, but point to a major push by the German automaker into the realm of electrified vehicles.

  • but now everyone can see you when you get roadhead from gold diggers...

  • Oh aye and thats before we get to the standard production hatch with a full carbon fibre chassis, no chance.

  • No 3 cylinder is putting out "220bhp" and noone is buying a "supercar" with a 0-60 of 5 seconds. Total nonsense. Also why would they try an align a hatchback electric car with their 3 series?

  • Future is coming with these cars :)

  • @MrCker What a load of crock. Realistically all electric cars are practical that are made right now. However they are pricey (and it's probably cheaper with gas cars) though nevertheless when it comes to the regular city drive ANY electric car produced now is capable of serving most people's needs.

  • the purple lights make it seem like a ghost flew in its hood and possesed its engine

  • until the battery improvements catch up these types of cars make sense to me. I like the hybrid and the electric. Bring it BMW!

  • i8 looks amazing
