Kent you're right god made some pretty powerful rules. Work on a sabbath and you have to be stoned to death and not the fun herbal kind. Your little god says nothing against slavery and supports it. And ok do what god says so if my wife is not a virgin on her wedding night she must be stoned to death.

1. "We can talk about this a long time." (but we shan't because I don't know any more than what I said)
2. "That's a LIE, and we shouldn't be using taxpayers' money to teach this." (so I don't pay my own taxes since this reason makes it okay to commit tax fraud)

Hovind loses on so many points, it's too bad that he didn't have a better opponent to point them out, such as that the bible says that anyone working on the sabbath is to be killed, or that unruly children are to be stoned, or that if you wear cloth of two different materials you are to be killed (which would include just about the entire human race right now). Etc...this was just such an obvious attack point in which Hovind would have been humiliated.

@spectresque You are right about one thing though. Hovind did not get owned. He knows enough scientific jargon to convince the layman that he knows what he is talking about. To someone who actually understands science, it's painful to hear him talk. You simply cannot beat someone like him in a debate, he can produce 100 lies in the same amount of time that it takes to debunk one of them, and the science would be lost on the majority of the audience. Of course, Hovind knows this full well.

@spectresque For someone that does not believe in the God of the bible, you bought in to a lot of creationist propaganda. Of course there is no evidence to prove that humans evolved from nothing, because that is not what the theory of evolution states. This is a straw man of evolution. Evolution does not violate any of the laws of thermodynamics, since earth is not a closed system. The sun provides all the necessary energy to fuel evolution.
