It's Simple. It's Water

Water is something to be celebrated. It is more valuable than oil, more precious than gold. It is the essential ingredient of our life, our culture, our history and our future. Water is essential for life.

1.1 Billion people in the world do not have access to clean water. That is one in six of us. UNICEF reports that 6,000 people die each day from illnesses due to drinking dirty water. Ninety percent of these deaths occur in children under the age of five. Without clean water many people become sick with water-borne illnesses that lower their capacity to work, care for their children, or attend school. When clean water is not easily accessible, children, especially girls, miss school in order to help carry water. Many women also suffer permanent skeletal damage from carrying heavy loads of water over long distances every day.

Africa Water is Life is a community engagement initiative to raise awareness & funds for water wells in rural villages of Africa in partnership with World Hope International (WHI). Drilling wells provide clean, sustainable water to thousands of people. Africa Water is Life, along side WHI, is helping save lives in the developing countries of Africa. WHI currently has six drilling rigs working to provide wells in the rural villages of Liberia, Malawi, Mozambique, Sierra Leone, and Zambia.

World Hope International is a faith based relief and development organization alleviating suffering and injustice through education, enterprise and community health.
