It wasn't until i read a comment on S.O.U.L's "Burning Spear", someone told me that there were another version out there with some additional percussion on it. I looked it up and found a 7" on ebay for a great find! This upload is from the B-Side!! I have never heard of or listned to this version, if any have more info about this gem, do comment!

after hearing this again...I think he was probably the 3rd most sampled musician
in hip hop after James Brown & George Clinton/
That bass line just sounds so familiar!!!! and the vocal melody too!
But this came out in '72...so everything else I think sounds familiar came out much after.
