Designed to allow light inspection and maintenance jobs on rail/road bridges and viaducts, the bucket-type machines belonging to the AB LINE production range are conceived to offer a high manoeuvre speed, agility and operational safety.
They are installed either on to truck, as far as the road version is concerned, or on to power-operated trolleys and wagons for the rail version. AB machines guarantee a high versatility and allow the access to structures placed either overhead and underbridge.
The bucket, large enough to seat 3 persons plus tools, is made up in light aluminium alloy or in fibreglass and it can reach a working height from 10 up to 22,5 m., depending on the model. A threefold levelling device allows to operate with the buckets floor perfectly horizontal, no matter the working condition is.

AB line road version
The horizontal outreach of the bucket underbridge goes from 5 to 22 m., depending on the model.
Two control panels are fitted, one on board the bucket and the other one on chassis, connected with the rotating turret.
The machines are operated hydraulically and all manoeuvres are operated by means of electric and electronic devices.
The personnel on board the bucket can control the slow hydrostatic translation manoeuvre of the unit, with the consent of the driver in the trucks cab, for whatever operational condition of booms.

The primary power supply source of the unit comes from the diesel engine of the vehicle, by means of power take off and main pumps, while on request can be supplied a generator fitted with auxiliary pumps as secondary power supply source. An intercom system allow the personnel on board the bucket to speak with personnel on the ground.
The bucket can be used for the inspection of the bridges and viaducts piers, as well as of the slopes on the roads sides, thanks to the wide working depth underbridge which can vary from 10 and 25,5 m., depending on the model.

AB line rail/road version
The AB LINE production range is completed by COMBI models, rail/road version, which can be used for the inspection and maintenance of either road and railway bridges. Such models can be installed on to standard 2 axles trucks, fitted with rail axles and iron wheels for the rail transfer and service.
COMBI units are conceived to circulate on railways with a gauge varying from 1.000 mm up to 1.676 mm. and can reach a transfer speed of 40 km/h. The booms do not interfere with the electrification catenary above the tracks with a height of 4.5 m. from the track level, neither during the transfer operation nor during the working operation of the equipment.
Alternatively, COMBI units can be installed on motorized trolleys and railway wagons, for inspection and maintenance of the only railway bridges and viaducts.

NOTE: the models above illustrated represent the standard range and doesnt cover the whole range of AB machines, which includes other 2 models, named AB11 and AB 15.
BARIN Co. is also able to design, upon the customers specific request, any other AB model, having an underbridge outreach comprised between 5 and 22 m.
