EU Visit to Sri Lanka to Save LTTE: EU Double Standards on Terrorism

Updated 07Dec2010: Three EU (UK, France, Austria) gentlemen were on a mission to Sri Lanka 7to11May 2009 to save LTTE, LTTE was completly eliminated on 19th May in Sri Lanka.
David Milband, UK Foreign secretary was a strong LTTE supporter and was interested in UK Tamil votes who spent 60% of time to Tamils during UK elections.

United Nations Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy on 8 September 2006: Measures to prevent and combat terrorism

1.To refrain from organizing, instigating, facilitating, participating in, financing, encouraging or tolerating terrorist activities intended to be committed against other States or their citizens.

2.To cooperate fully in the fight against terrorism, in accordance with our obligations under international law, in order to find, deny safe haven and bring to justice, on the basis of the principle of extradite or prosecute, any person who supports, facilitates, participates or attempts to participate in the financing, planning, preparation or perpetration of terrorist acts or provides safe havens.

3.To ensure the apprehension and prosecution or extradition of perpetrators of terrorist acts, in accordance with the relevant provisions of national and international law, in particular human rights law, refugee law and international humanitarian law.

4.To intensify cooperation, as appropriate, in exchanging timely and accurate information concerning the prevention and combating of terrorism .
