  • FINALLY! Someone that actually recognize Pink! She is so underrated.

  • Thank you! I hate it when I'm listening to rap and then someone pops up and is like 'turn that shit off!' and then they turn around and turn on Ke$ha who's talking about the same stuff. It's total bull.

  • This video got me into Emilie Autumn. She's one of my favorites now. Thanks!

  • While I love Adele, for me she encompasses something which has been a gimmick which is kind of insulting; the white girl/guy with the black person voice, which has risen so many people to popularity; Elvis, Dusty Springfield, Tom Waits, Eminem, Amy Winehouse.

I can't help but feel there is something worrying about this, like the mainstream is still white. I don't know how to describe it, but it seems ethnocentric in a worrying way.

  • @tamhlam

    I LOVE P!NK!

  • Thank You! Thank you! Finally, someone who understands that just because something is mainstream doesn't mean it's quality music! And finally someone else who enjoyed Nicki Minaj's mixtape better than her album.

  • I don't agree completely with the whole gimmick thing. Ever heard of Mai Yamane? Probably no. She is an amazing Japanese singer with a deep, sultry, and full voice who sings the blues and has AMAZING English and Japanese. She's got a gimmick.

  • Also, Pink doesn't need to sell herself anyway. Her songs are meaningful and good enough to be great on their own, and every now and then, she is in the public eye BECAUSE of a new song. She keeps being true to herself, while so many other singers have to keep changing so that they remain successful. I believe Pink is fine on her own :)

  • What I love about Pink is exactly because she isn't as much in the public eye than Minaj or Gaga. I think it's quite humble of her because it seems she doesn't want to sell herself particularly, and you can tell from the content of her songs that she's really down-to-earth. & besides, I hear she has a child now. I think especially this isn't a right time to bring herself and, indefinitely, her personal life into the public eye. I've a feeling she knows this, and she wants to keep things secret.

  • I don't have a favorite genre of music. I have favorite songs. every genre has crappy songs and every genre has great and meaningful songs as well.

    gimmicks get people's attention. I LOVE M.I.A., too! O.O

  • gosh i hate every artist you named in this video (aside from the first rappers you named and salt&peppa and en vogue) :-/

  • Are you gonna do a review on Emilie Autumns book? I think it would be great. :)
