This is the UAE Tourism commercial for the 2010 Expo in Shanghai. It has to be the MOST BEAUTIFUL commercial for the UAE to date. What do you think of it and the United Arab Emirates?

FIRSTLY: As an arab myself, I am offended by your words.
SECONDLY: Having been raised properly, I know better than to insult the people I talk to.
THIRDLY: Dubai actually doesn't have any more oil reserves. Abu Dhabi does, but Abu Dhabi doesn't fund Dubai.
FOURTHLY: I take back what I said about the fashion capital... I stand corrected, but it is still 11th and rising in the rankings, significantly higher than say... Iran?
FIFTHLY: Only ignorant people believe arabs are terrorists.

@manword1 I will be visiting Abu Dhabi in March 2012 after I complete my Masters of Social Work program. I would love to live in the Middle East one day but need to get a good feel for the country, religion, culture, history, and their politics. Here in the United States people need to stop believing everything they hear and see on TV.

@gregboyds no man there is awrong picture always been given by i dont know who about UAE or Dubai but trust me its not like what people say its agreat welcoming place with great people like you never see such agreat people all over the world and myself i do say you are welcome to visit the united arab emirates at anytime and you are most welcome my friend^^

@ihavekankles no man we dont at all..you see,some of the people who took islam and understand it in wrong way they did things like osama bin laden and other which we as muslims know that is wrong and we also fight such things...trust me my friend there is abad picture has been showd to the other religions but you always hope to remember that knowing the truth by yourself is always the right and myself welcome you to UNITED ARAB EMIRATES-DUBAI at anytime and you are most welcome here^^

Hello, I'm looking into teaching english in UAE and I was wondering about the toleration of Christianity at the moment. I am a Christian and am tolerant of other cultures/ religions but I don' hear very much about UAE, how is it?

@crumblymunky Well, I think this one liner should convince you on the UAE's tolerance to religions: 190 nationalities coexist peacefully in the UAE. It would be hard to imagine all 190 nationalities with only one religious background...
In your specifc terms, many private schools in the UAE celebrate Islamic AND Christian holidays (no school during Christmas, Easter, etc...). As for being tolerant of cultures/religions - all are welcome!
