Aria Of Sorrow is the third and final GBA CastleVania game, and considered by most to be the finest of them all, boasting even better graphics than Harmony Of Dissonance, as well as amazing sound quality. The game also features a particularly engaging storyline with a twist ending and a futuristing setting unseen in previous games. Aria Of Sorrow stars Soma Cruz, a young european exchange student living in Japan, who stumbles upon the banished CastleVania at an eclipse.

Interestingly enough the only games to get direct sequels were CastleVania, The CastleVania Adventure, Rondo Of Blood and Aria Of Sorrow.

  • what's your favorite soul?

  • i keep it simple. axe knight

  • Funny thing, I was at Gamestop about a week ago, and I saw a copy of Aria of Sorrow for $18. I didn't pick it up, however, because I noticed something rather queer about the cartridge: It was merely the 'Lament of Innocence' on a GBA catridge, with an almost invisible "Aria of Sorrow" subtitle. I'm up visiting my cousin now, and I bought a copy of Aria of Sorrow, with the real cartridge art for $15. I'm looking forward to telling the cashiers at the Gamestop near me that they've been scammed.

  • definitely sounds like a bootleg

they're not too sharp at gamestop

  • At least not the ones working that day. I asked them if they had Harmony of Dissonance, and they just said, "Here, we'll unlock the GBA cases so you can look through them." Then they went back to the counter. Funny thing, the guy at the Gamestop near my cousin's said that they frequently get bootlegs. That being, there actually have been cases where I've gotten suburb service at Gamestop, most notably when I bought 'Lament of Innocence".

  • not sure what you mean by suburb service....

if you ever see harmony and aria on the same cart, get that, it's damn rare.

  • peeping eye reminds me of suezo from monster rancher advance

  • @MasamuneZenith That's Balore. And he is a MOTHER FUCKER to beat... His gigantic fists make me cry to this day. T-T

  • I like how you pronounce things =3 Like Ecclesia as Ecklesia and Dracula as Dracalah lol

  • mister spoiler 2010 ;[

  • if they ever make a 100 dollar coin it should look just like a penny so that only people who actually look at change and stuff can get it

  • Honestly, as a castlevania fan, Curse of darkness loses it's luster pretty quickly. same with lament of innocence, IMO. Castlevania was just not meant for the 3rd dimension

  • @NecroVMX i have Harmony and Aria on the same Cartridge. i never take it out and i only played and beat both games once.

  • Just downloaded the emulator version for this game, LOVE IT. Competing right now with Symphony of the Night for my fave Castlevania game.

  • That being said, I will eagerly await you to announce doing a playthrough of Aria of Sorrow. :)

  • Oh, yesss. I remember this one, though I've never played it. But I do have an awesome memory of it. My brother-in-law was playing this with his GBA adapter for the Gamecube, and I remember him walking into a large room where a huge bat appeared... only to be crushed inside a giant human hand! Next thing I knew, he was having it out with this bigass one eyed dude in the background. We affectionately nicknamed this giant "Bubba Dracula".
