I am a white northern male from New York and i too agree that what the Northern states did to the Southern states was nothing less than a CRIME! I AM NOT RACIST and i do believe that the Confederate flag represents the south as a whole including blacks and whites altogether. Mr Edgerton is one of the MOST EDUCATED and INFORMED HUMAN BEINGS I HAVE EVER CAME ACROSS. I SUPPORT THIS MAN TO THE FULLEST! People who disagree and say that the flag is racist is just a product of northern reconstruction!

People just dont like to think about history.. Ask anyone today what the swastika symbol represents and 98% would tell you racism and hatred, when in fact it is an ancient symbol used for good luck.. Same with the confederate flag, everyone today claims it shows racism, when it fact it was to show the souths devotion to states rights.

Of the many ships that brought slaves to the Colonies and later the United States, not a single ship Ever flew any type of Confederate States of America flag, even before and during the Civil War. That is a cold-hard fact that is very, very true! I love my country but, even the truth hurts sometimes.

@farno914 farno, do know that it was not the majority of people from the North that wanted that war. Matter of fact it could be argued that most Northerners agreed with the South. Then as now it was mainly the activist groups from many sides and many reasons that wanted certain things that caused the war. Also note New York at the time, had it in their State Constitution, they reserved the right to secede from the union at any time, as did the states of RI, VA and Texas. Michael-Deo us Vindices
