Incredibly it sounds, looks and feels like TODAY ... thanx, grandprixmemories. The period between August 1st and October 20th 1976 were probably the 84 most dramatic days of F-1 history. The extraordinary contrast between Monza 1975, sunny and with a happy atmosphere and Monza 1976, overcast and with a very anxious and worried "tifosi" was not in fact a mere coincidence. My best compliments, grandprixmemories, this is an extraordinary document.

First of all I didn't know Mario drove on the same wet tires he started on. Second I wish I can go back in time because I’m very fascinated about 1970’s Formula 1. Third, that was great photographs you took during that crazy 1976 season. WOW!!!

This really is an incredible historical document. A must-see for anyone who is interested in a period of motor racing that was as dramatic as it was dangerous. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you very much jsm519! I think your point about this period of racing is very well stated... and your comments about our diary are greatly appreciated.
