  • Why shouldn't musicians be allowed to take beta blockers? What gives anyone the right to tell a musician what they can and can't do with their body? I'm studying to become a pharmacologist or other related research scientist and I think denying anyone the right to these mind alteration tools is hindering the evolution of mankind physically, mentally and spiritually and anyone who supports prohibition is either uninformed, ignorant, evil or a combination of the 3.

  • you violently angry so its the responsibility of anyone who uses them to control that anger and ensure that they don't direct it at other people. Alcohol causes this in some people too. From what I've read, withdrawal from steroids can be pretty extreme so people who use them should know what to expect so they'll be better able to deal with it when the time comes.

  • @cupdrums if a body builder wants to use steroids to enhance his/her ability to perform athletically then they should be allowed to do so as long as they're not entering competitions in which it is prohibited. There potentially serious side effects that come with long term use of steroids so I'd advise anyone using them to do their research on these substances. They should also take into consideration the harm their use of these substances may cause to others. From what I've read they can make

  • @cnidoblast may i ask your opinion on steriods then?

  • They are great. They allow people with bad stage anxiety to perform their best in high pressure situations. They don't make you better, they just allow you to be the best representation of yourself. And there are no side affects. They are cheap, safe and are not addictive.

  • @darkangel8989 how much does it calm you down when you go up on stage do you feel a little nervous still or does your anxiety just disappear im going to the doctor this week and for my situation it looks like beta blockers would be the best way to treat my anxiety. are there any major side effects that you've gotten while on them?

  • @Dynaverse

Beta blockers are dam good if you have arrhythmia's in the heart though man... so if you have a medical condition and your and athlete like I was it was essential that I took them because I had and arrhythmia ...

  • Yeah if your a musician or athletic dont do it, it screws with your body anyway... these drugs are shit, if you suffer from symptoms you dont want to take this garbage anyway, but your forced to. So why when your healthy do you take them??

  • i have a thiroid problem and i shake even when i am not nervouse. do i deserve it?!?!?!?!??!?!? the answer is yes i do. i am a musician too so my hands shake even worse when i am on stage. i still deserve b/c i am at an unfair advantage. i think your just jealose that you can't on some. :P
