You overflowed your characters' stats by putting them to the maximum value then had them gain a level. This results in them dropping back down to 0 and starting the vicious cycle of increasing again.

As for the hax tool; it was fun toying with it, had fun fighting off the buffed 4 fiends during random encounters. Then deleted the tool after I got bored..>.>
