Academy award is very complicated and not clear.
Many people and even wikipedia misunderstand it.
The truth is below.
There are many Special Award or Honorary Award recipients.
But, Kurosawa received the "Special Honorary award"
★Only 2 persons received this special prize in the history of Academy award.
★Another person is Charlie Chaplin.
And later one man added to this list, Ferrini.
So, at the time of 2011, Only 3 persons received this special prize in the history of Academy award.
