There is some good in all of them for a reason. If they did what they wanted to do they would have no good in them whatsoever. And then they would be dealing with 250 plus million people armed with guns, baseball bats, knives, cars as weapons etc. Politicians will only push as far as they believe they can push an entire population. They all can't have body guards. And until they do we will have some freedoms.
Nixon is responsible for todays "made in China" and .50 an hour offshore wages. Iran still today treats women as dogs. Reagan and the Federal Reserve Usury Bank expanded the dismantling of unions, fair wages and class warfare. As of today we have not had an honest government. Much less a fair government for all the people. Let's wait to give credit until credit is due.
Oh yeah. Reagan was the only U.S. president ever to get our country officially condemned by the United Nations. It was over mining that harbor down around Peru somewhere. I forget the name of the harbor.
Oh, I'm not a fan of Nixon at all. I agree with you fully. He was a crooked lowlife SOB in my book. And Reagan? South America was his Iraq. He had operatives in 6 different countries down there at the same time messing with their governments. I was just pointing at the obvious that there was "some" good and "some" bad in all of them. However... I'm having a hard time finding anything to come out good for Bush's legacy. Not one good thing. That's really sad.
It's true Nixon was never impeached, but Nixon also bombed Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam back to the stone age. He also arguably committed the worst political crimes in American history until the current (P)resident assumed office. And Reagan, well some of what you say is true, though he also broke the law helping kill thousands if not millions in various cold war conflicts.
Nixon opened up China, and got us out of the war. Carter gave away the Panama Canal, and lost Iran as an ally. Reagan contributed to the fall of the Berlin Wall, and the breaking up of our nuclear enemy, drastically reducing the nuclear arms count worldwide.
I'm a Democrat, but lets give credit where credit is due.

The good thing is that it will END!! That's the only item I can think of. (Beside all the laws that will change so this crap doesn't happen again.)

The main defining features of each president:
Nixon opened up China, and got us out of the war. Carter gave away the Panama Canal, and lost Iran as an ally. Reagan contributed to the fall of the Berlin Wall, and the breaking up of our nuclear enemy, drastically reducing the nuclear arms count worldwide.
