Eddie Reader + Imelda May

July 12, 2009: Always a pleasure to see Eddie Reader perform: at Cornbury 2009 we got the added bonus of Imelda May joining her for an Elvis work-out.

my brother and I were at Cornbury (and Eddi was the highlight - see my clip), but the previous week we were at the Albert Hall for Jeff Beck (and Dave Gilmour) where Imelda was the support act.

My only slight gripe is that I would have expected a rockabilly singer like Imelda to know the words to 'that's alright mama'. We'll let her off though, eh.

Would love to have been at the Beck/Gilmour gig -- two of my all-time favourite guitar players. Must put up some more Cornbury ER clips...

Thanks for posting... it was great to see Eddi Reader and Imelda May sing-a-long to an Elvis number together... one of the festival highlights for me :)
