Although the photos on our farm display a rather tranquil scene , it was chaos out on the main roads with several car accidents, injuries, and deaths, due from a winter storm that blasted through Ohio and West Virginia over a two day period. It began with light snow which piled up to 8 inches in our area and then turned to freezing rain which left nearly a half inch of ice, followed by more snow on top of that. Thousands were left without power as tree limbs and trees fell from the wieght of snow and ice across power lines. You can see Tammy's car covered by the limbs of the Russian olive trees that line our driveway and also a photo of my car abandonned half way up our hill as I could not go any farther on my way home from work. I'd like to thank my friend Steve ALLEN[Robert Pieculewicz] for the use of his song "Rain Ballad" off his album "Speed Limit"
I live in Huntington, WV and I remember this ice storm. What part of West Virginia was this video shot? It's beautiful. It WAS a deadly storm though. I was without power for 3 days.

This is in Belleville, WV, about 20 miles south of Parkersburg. Thanks for the comment. We appreciate fellow West Virginians. Take care.

You know Chris, I was thinking exactly of you when I uploaded this video and wondering how warm it might be out there. I had visions of you lounging beside your pool!

Thankyou Sue. We stayed home 8 days and had to call off from work during that time. My car had been left along the road for 6 days before I could get it out and use it when I returned to work.We will be so glad when winter is over and we are able to complain about having to mow the grass! LOL
